Is it possible to grind down, cut out or otherwise remove the LCI so I can use a regular bolt?

The pin is out and my MK II bolt drops right in, however, the upper won't fit on my MK II but will fit on my 22/45.

I plan to order the TK part tomorrow.

I can use my MK II bolt, correct?
