| I plan on getting a MTAC to use with a 23 and a 27. Is there any reason to get the 23 and 27 shells as opposed to just getting the slide style? |

That would be up to you. Do you want to spend an extra $35.00 just to have one that extends an extra .5 inches? If you get the slide for a 9mm/.40S&W/.357 Sig sized GLOCK then all models (17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 17L, and 24) will fit that one slide although the compacts and larger will stick out through the bottom opening. I have a C-TAC slide and it works for all of my models. If you want a complete shell covering then I would recommend you get the largest shell that you think you will need. For example, even if you had a GLOCK 35 shell you could still use it for a 27. The 27 would still lock into position. Good luck. CSP |
