| Hey guys i'm looking at picking up a MTAC holster for a 1911 and was curious. The website says it sits well at 4:00 but I carry closer to 3:00. Do any of you guys carry with the MTAC closer to the 3:00 position? |
| Yeah the adjustability is one of my favorite parts the MTAC. I was just curious from experience what you guys thought about how it rides at 3:00. I've been using a blade-tech and it's okay. I find myself constantly wanting to adjust it since it only has 1 belt clip. |

That'll depend on the finish of your firearm.
I've had a Glock 19 in my MTAC for just over a year now and you can't find any holster-wear at all. On the other hand, a friend of mine has a Kel-Tec PF9 in a kydex holster from a different manufacturer and after only a month or so his finish is rubbing in places. |
| I carry my 3" Springfield Micro in an MTAC at 3:30 and have no issues. Tucked or untucked, the MTAC makes my 1911 disappear. No holster wear to speak of after 3 years of daily carry, but I have a bi-tone model wiht the stainless slide so that might make a difference there. Hope that helps and best of luck... |

I've been thinking about getting one of these. How badly does the kydex scratch up your firearm? I had no issues with that until I had a job for 6 months or so that was a bit dusty, and dust got in-between the gun and the kydex and wore the gun a little bit |

Its the dust/dirt than gets between the gun and the kydex that will cause your wear. same deal with leather |
