I'm in the process of purchasing a Glock 23.  First time glock owner!  Who makes the best mag extensions?

I'm not trying to be a smart*ss, but if you want a longer grip why not just by a G22?

^^^^^Wow.  Two 1st posts!

If you are talking about +2 round capacity extensions, IMHO, they are junk.  I used them and the caused the spring to fold over, effectively making them into a -5 mag extension.  They also make your mag very fragile if dropped.  Nothing like cleaning parts off the ground at your favorite shootout.

As far as finger extensions, I am using Scherrer (sp?) with great success on the subcompacts.

I have no experience with mag capacity extensions.  I do use the Pearce finger grip extension on my subcompact G30.  They work really well and I recommend them.

I agree, don't bother with mag extensions.  All they will do is create malfunctions.  If you want more capacity, buy a G22 or one of the other full size models.

I have the Glock OEM +2 mag extensions on all my G17 mags and G22 mags.  No failures or issues whatsoever.  The OEM mag extensions are made differently and much better than the other aftermarket stuff running around.  Glock does says to replace the 10-coil spring with the 11-coil spring (part no. 2551) if you install the "+" floorplate and insert.  I went with the Wolff Springs +10% springs and they work great.

BTW, the +2 on the 9mm is a true +2 but for .40S&W it's only a +1 so the long & short of it would be to get the G22 mags and then if you want, add a +2 for 16rnds. Just MHO.

Like the previous post stated, go with Glock OEM extensions that are available for 9mm and .40/.357 caliber.
I have many of them and never had a problem. The magazines do not come apart when they are dropped during rapid mag changes and I experienced no malfunctions with them -even with the stock springs.

Since we're on the topic of mag extensions:  Does anyone know if these extensions from CDNN will fit a Glock 26 magazine?

Yes, they'll fit all drop free 9/357/40 mags that I tried them on. I got them for free with some magazines that I ordered and one broke right at the rail where it slides onto the mag body. The other one is still alive.

I'm going to have to disagree with all the naysayers.  I have Glock factory +2 extensions - No Problems

Another VERY good option, is to use G22 mags with the A&G sleeve spacer. It gives you the grip length of a G22, but the barrel compactness of the 23.  I really like the way it shoots and feels in the hand.

Or just buy G22 mags.
