I have a Glock 23 and started looking at getting a few more mags.  I found these on the EE.  What are the differences b/n # 5, 6 , 7 , and 8 followers?  All I plan on shooting is 40cal.

Minor structural differences.  Glock has come out with improved shapes of followers over the years.  #8 is the most recent, I believe.

I have to admit I've never really heard of reliability issues caused by the old follower designs.  It's just an evolution Glock has been doing with followers.

#8 followers are recommended (along with 11-coil mag springs) for running .40 Glock pistols with lights mounted, for reliability.

The mags should run fine, if you were to have a problem, buying a few #8 followers is cheap.

I've got #6, #7, and #8 G22 mags for my G23, they all run flawlessly.

ETA:  I'm sure someone around here has a pic comparing the different followers.

I learn something new here every time.  I didn't know the followers have evolved that many times.
