OK I know this has been answered since I’ve been here but I didn’t think the information would apply to me and so I didn’t pay much attention. Now my limited search means I have to ask again. Sadly USPs are an addiction and it really did apply to me. I have a .357sig USPC, am I correct in thinking that .40 mags are exactly the same? Are USP Tactical .45 and USP full size mags the same? I figure Big-Bore will fill me in |

Yes, here I am. The full size .45 mags are all the same. You can even use the SOCOM mags in the USP but not USP mags in the SOCOM. On a side note, there seems to be such a thing as a USP mag with long feed lips (do not know if they have been converted SOCOM mags with a base plate change or not) and they will work in the SOCOM, but any short lipped USP mag will cause trouble in the SOCOM. Both the short lipped mags and the long lipped mags work in the USP. And you are correct, the .40 and .357 mags are exactly the same. There are two versions of the mags but both versions come in both calibers and both versions work in both pistols. |
No, not exactly. Tactical magazines have extended floor plates for your finger, USP45 magazines do not. I am told they only sell the extended floor plates magazines now, but have not been able to verify it. However, functionally they are interchangeable on either gun. |
