I purchased a Gen 4 and got 3 of the mags that were marked with the "2" on them. I have since bought two more mags that are marked "1". My question is this...are there any issues with using these mags in the Gen 4's or is the only difference the ability for these mags to be used with the ambi mag release?

In a gen4 Glock you can use old mags when the mag release is setup for right hand. If you want to use left hand you have to use the notched out mags.
Some mags will have different numbers on the follower they are different revisions the have release. I have an assortment of different numbered mags and all work fine. Glock just improves them over the years where they see fit. But does not mean the old ones are bad. |
