I purchased a Gen 4 and got 3 of the mags that were marked with the "2" on them.  I have since bought two more mags that are marked "1".  My question is this...are there any issues with using these mags in the Gen 4's or is the only difference the ability for these mags to be used with the ambi mag release?

Thanks in advance.

Can you show a pic of the number and where it is, I was not aware glock mags were marked with numbers. I'm in a ban state and would like to see them, to make sure I don't have any.

When I get home I will try, they won't be pretty, I marked my mags.

However the number is right next to the Glock logo on the back of the magazine, the "2's" are have notches for ambi mag release.

In a gen4 Glock you can use old mags when the mag release is setup for right hand.  If you want to use left hand you have to use the notched out mags.

Some mags will have different numbers on the follower they are different revisions the have release.  I have an assortment of different numbered mags and all work fine.  Glock just improves them over the years where they see fit.  But does not mean the old ones are bad.
