I have 5 CMC Shooting Stars and 2 Novaks.  I prefer the CMC Shooting Stars but the Novaks haven't given me any trouble.

Then again, I've only had them for a few days.

I have been shooting Wilson Magazines since 1990.  Prior to that the rage was original Colt or Pachmayr.  I also shoot the Chip McCormick magazines.  I can tell you this, I prefer the Wilson Magazines, but I had no magazines problems ever EXCEPT after much use, a Pachmayr would drop it's welded floor plate and come apart.  If sent back to Pachmayr, they would send you a brand new magazine.

Wilson 47Ds mags are the "gold standard" for 5" .45ACP 1911s. They are also guaranteed for life, but I have never had the occasion to send one back.
