I have a Winchester Model 94 lever rifle in 38/357. I really enjoy shooting 38 out of it because I can basically shoot it all day comfortably. It handles any ammo I throw at it but I would really like to use 158 grain 38 Special. My go-to brands are American Eagle and Winchester, but they don't offer a flat nose 38 in 158 grain (need flat nose for the tube magazine).

Magtech does offer a lovely flat nose fmj 38 in 158 grain. I'm tempted, but I've never shot this ammo before. This lever rifle is my prized possession, so I want to make sure this is quality ammo. Does anyone have an opinion on Magtech ammo?

I've shot hundreds of rounds of magtech 45LC through my cowboy guns, and it's been great stuff for me.  Brass is great for reloading, too. +1 for magtech from me

Not 158, but I've had good results with the Win/USA white box 130-grain fmj-fp (Q4171) out of my 16" puma.

I've shot 158gr lead nose through my Rossi 38 special and it's the only ammo I can remember that flashed so much that
burnt powder was on my hand. It was like shooting a muzzle loader. That was a few years ago. I'll pass and spend a couple
extra bucks next time because it was really weird.

There is a Gun Store in Vegas (Vegas Experience I think) uses it for their rental stuff.
Claims it the better of the stuff to buy.

My Sig chokes on the more expensive Winchester white box, but eats MagTech like a champ. Which is fine for me because MagTech is cheaper.

Shot Mag Tech in a variety of calibers and never had any problems.

I have shot magtech in .380, 9mm, and .308 without any issues.  I liked it.
