It is legal to build firearms for personal use so long as you comply with all the laws (i.e. no full auto, short barrelled rifles still need the tax stamp, etc.). You can't ever sell them, otherwise they are no longer for personal use. |
I cannot believe that the ATF hires dumbasses like this. ATF informants really have gone down hill. I'll give the ATF some pointers: Next time, have your agent examine forum etique. You need an agent that is a paying memeber, with a memorable picture to go along with it. Trust me, $25 a year to catch an illegal weapons operaton is worth it. Also, make sure you have the agent keep the account for at leat a year. You need to have the agent seem likeable, so posting in the GD is an excellent choice. Post count needs to be high, but not too high. Make sure your agent also has done some transactions in the Equipment Exchange forum. Yes, nearly 100% are illegal by ATF standards, but it is worth it! With a sting operator like that you will be sure to catch a crook! Another pointer, you will need at least 87 ATF agents to take down one of these guys (You'll get understand the number after you follow my above tips) |

Edit: I forgot to clarify in my earlier post that the $600 (plus shipping) gets you a completed pistol, so no need to invest in tools or material. You'll have to pick it up at the FFL though.
