M&P used to mean Military and Police  ,now it means Metal and Plastics!  What do you feel about this?  I will try and buy
metal guns with wood stocks and grips, does this mean I will never find any pistols and rifles,shot-guns except the old
ones?

When all pistols and rifles are made of M&P will the old great ones command a great cost?

I agree very lame while they have their practcality and place. Quality will always be made in one form or another, wood and metal will never be cheap or tacky thus "classics" will never die. Good point though...

You are on a site dedicated to the AR-15 complaining that modern firearms are made of plastic?
As for investing in firearms, some firearms may increase in value.  Rare firearms or ones with compelling provenance (i.e. owned by a famous person with documentation to prove it) in will more than likely increase in value. I don't see just having wood ever translating into being "rare".

I am a lover of S&W "blue and wood" guns, and own a modern M&P, and I don't think anything of it. It's just a name.

M&P's triggers need some work.

I love deeply blued steel and walnut pistols and have one or two.

But I have been very impressed with my PPS and M&P ––  both types have a place in my collection.
