I picked up a new (to me) USP45 in stainless a couple weeks ago. Man does this thing shoot sweet. It's a 96 model so the trigger was nice and broken in, but I decided to install a match trigger when I tore it down to install an ambi safety. There doesn't seem to be too much difference on the weight of DA pull, but man is the SA light. The break and reset are crisp and short. Eliminated a lot of the slack or take up in both actions as well. I can't wait to get it back to the range. I bought the special pliers from HKparts and the entire process was very simple. I had been anxious about it all week waiting for the parts to come in, hoping I didn't screw up the gun. But I only had to reference the drawing once during reinstall. I guess my point it, if you are holding back because you feel you might not be able to do it yourself, just jump in and do it. It's a lot simpler than it seems.

Definitely worth the time and money. Makes the USP 45 even sweeter. The special pliers are a must too.

It only took me an hour and that's because I scrubbed every piece spotless and really took my time getting to see how they interact with each other. Going to be at least next weekend until I can get out to the range, but I already feel a world of difference and the old trigger was nice and worn in.

Yup, that little pair of pliers is a dream. When I decided to do the install, I made up my mind to get a pair. I had the spring in correctly in one try and it took about 10 seconds. I read too many horror stories about trying without the tool to even try and attempt it. It wasn't a bad price either. I might pick up the punch set from HKparts when I order a trigger kit for my next USP. I have punches but I'd like the set with the case just to keep in the gun/knife toolbox.
