www.1896mauser.com might answer some questions for you too. It is a Bolo. The safety is a New Safety, it was most likely made in the 1930's. The Bolo's don't hold their value as well as the original C-96's. It most likely shoots 7.63x25mm ammunition, unless it was rebored later to 9mm. Looking at condition & being a mixmaster, I think $400 is about right for the gun. |
| Is that a 9mm and have you fired it? It does appear to be a mixmaster and the cai marking is a detractor. I've been interested in finding a 9mm shooter for a while, but I haven't studied enough about them to be able to identify any of them. The mauser forum mentioned above would be your best bet for identification. They have a forum section specifically for identification purposes. |
