PT908 8 round single stack http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o580/Celt1314/2012-12-21_21-19-18_510.jpg If you can find one get it. 900 series are excellent guns. Made before the plastic gun revolution. I have 3 of the series and had 3 I sold or traded. double stack 9mm PT911, Double stack PT938 380 and single stack 45 PT945. Had the PT957 357 sig that I got rid of (trouble finding ammo - now regret it) also had the PT99 and PT 101. Never had problems with them. Now in my older age I see the error of getting rid of them. |
I had a PT945 but sold it because it hammer bit me so bad I couldn't make it through one mag without bleeding.
Shot well and wasn't ammo picky. Holsters for a Sig P220 would work for it usually. Factory mags were cheap and plentiful at the time. I think now a grip sleeve might have helped with the hammer bite problem. I traded it and a Kel Tek P11 (wish I had back ) for a new Glock 30 and haven't looked back on that deal.
I would love to have a PT908/911/917 but they are hard to find and the sellers are asking new gun prices. |
| I see new stock PT911 blue for $350. These have a rail now. Don't know where they keep getting new ones from. the 917 is based on the pt 92 but has the shorter grip. You just have to keep looking. IIRC I was told the 900 series was based or designed by Sig. Probably gunshop rumor but they do have similar looks and size. |

Had a PT908 for awhile , sold it . It was decent, but not great by any means.
It wouldn't feed and cycle all types of ammo. I had a chane to get most of my money back and did sell it before sending back to factory like I had planned to do in order to resolve the feed/cycling issues |
