My mil-spec ejects the casings right back towards your head, hitting it.
What can be done to the pistol to correct this?

Also what does the NM stamped on the mag mean?

Thanks

Duck immediately after shooting. Simulate battle situation. Or wear a helmet.

Sorry I have no answer, just thought I'd be a smart ass for a change.

A different spring should fix it, I don't know which.  Is this the original?
NM usually means National Match, but in this case???

The pistol is brand new. I've fired around 300-400 rounds with it.
The serial number also starts with the "NM" along with the "NM" on the mag.
I'll change springs and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks

A compitant gunsmith familiar with the 1911 design pistol can adjust or tune the extractor and ejector to fix this problem. The cost of this is not that expensive and easily done

Thanks for the suggestion!
It's at the gunsmiths right now.
