I bought a Wiley Clapp off Budsgunshop and emailed them about these grips. They directed me to email Colt's customer support / quality control. I emailed the guy there requesting to get new grips that match and this was his response... "Josh- Wood is a natural substance and some mis-matching of color is normal." Well no fucking shit retard, but the point of having quality control is to weed out shit like this. I didn't pay $1500 for mismatching grips. Should I be this pissed? |

IMO those grips need to be changed out anyway. I changed the grips out on both of my WCs. |
Here's a thought for OP; if Colt won't do anything, head over to the Colt section of the 1911 forum, and see if someone else has a mismatch, and if they'd want to swap. I would, if I was in that position. Or, someone might want to sell; some folks are just crazy, and don't like the WC grips.
