That price sounds fair.  It's more than I usually pay, but I have a source for very inexpensive LEO trade-ins.

The M10 is in my favorite S&W frame size, the K.  Even though I have large hands, the K's fit me the best.  Right now, I have two M10's, both from the same PD, both 4", one pencil barrel and one heavy barrel.  Then, from that same PD, I got a 4" M65, and the earliest handgun they kept from their past issues, a 1936 produced Colt Official Police.

Right now, I have several K's.  Not including rimfires, I have the M10's and M65 mentioned above, a 2-1/2" M66 no dash and 3" M13, both at Chestnut Mountain Sports being customized right now, a 4" M64 and a Performance Center 3" M66 F-Comp.  I do have a few L-frames and several N's, but the K's are what I use the most.

Since the lockup is tight and the blueing is good, I'd say grab it for that price.  Pre-lock S&W's aren't going to get any cheaper, so what you see now is probably the best deal you're going to get.

Of course, we want pics when you get it!

Yes, good price in today's market.  Usually more in the 250 range.  Getting harder to find.  The LEO trade ins aren't nearly as common or cheap as they used to be.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it was a 4" heavy barrel

I went to a gun show over the weekend and saw Model 10's going anywhere from $250 to $400 depending on condition.  I'd probably pick it up for that price.

Skinny or fat bbl, this is a good price in the condition you say it is.
