I think I know the answer but will ask anyway. Is there anyway to get a threaded barrel for my current mosquito or would it just be easier to trade it in on one with a threaded barrel? I looked around and found no barrels offered, that and the barrel does not come out of reciever. So my guess is you can't get one, trade up right. Thank you in advance.

Did you try contacting SIG?  the worse that can happen is that they say NO and then youre stuck either with your original sit.  BTW, the barrel assy is only held in place by a pin/screw and the takedown bushing.  any good smith should be able to swap it out for you.

No, did'nt try that. But I will, Thanks.

Edit: Found one on gun broker for $210. I think I'll just trade mine in, it'll be cheaper.

You will still need to get an adapter for the threaded factory barrel to bring it up to industry std. for the silencer so in the end it might not be that much cheaper.

From Gemtech, you can purchase either an extended barrel threaded 1/2-28 tpi, or they will thread your existing barrel and sell you a step-up thread adapter.  I believe it is $150 either way, but contact Doc Dater to verify.

A good gunsmith with the right machining tools can take your factory barrel and lengthen it, providing adequate length for threading to be cut for your suppressor.  That's how I had mine done.

Don't know if you're still looking, but gemtech's threaded barrels are $150 and that would be much cheaper than getting a factory threaded gun + adapter.

Thank you, I still am looking. Looks like I'll order one of those for mine. Function O.K. on yours?
Edit: The screws were lock tightened on and I boogered up the screwdriver slot trying to get them off. Called Sig and they sent me some new screws, no charge. Sweet, nice service.

Mine functions fine, though I haven't tried it with other than CCI ammo, which is what I usually shot through the original barrel too.

Like I said, I had a guy extend my barrel and add a threaded portion.  At the moment, it seems to like the Remington Subsonics more than the PMC Moderators or CCI Subsoniccs.  I haven't played with the springs or tried anything else, but the CCI and PMCs don't seem to fire when the pistol is shot from the hammer back.  They seem to like a full DA pull.  Odd....
