a nice set of cherrywood grip panels w/silver colt medallions from ajax would make that nice colt look even nicer.

I'm hooked on these 1991 styled grips for the moment.  As soon as the urge strikes me again, I'll be changing.  I just went through a spell with my Vaquero and I tried 4 sets of grips before I was happy.

Oh yeah!
Nice hunk o'iron.
I have the same few in SS and no Kimber would take them from me.

How observant.  I was wondering if I would get away with putting the Glock in with my Colt.  I guess not.  The Glock does make a KICK-ASS combat knife however!

The most beautiful thing about your Colt besides its looks is the history. Its history is handed down the line to present day to Kimber,Springfield and the other 1911 spin-offs,........I'll take the Colt

i agree i prefere a colt.i currently have a colt delta elete in 10mm and a colt mark 4 goverment model in .38 super.i also have a kimber ultra carry which is a fantastic 1911 but i like the colts due to their historical value.
i have also owned 3 1991(new colt 1911s)all of which were great pistols.i gave one to my dad,and sold the other 2.
