Very nice, and a sensible assortment.
I'll bet that K22 is a joy to shoot, and I love the 65's. The only one I've not owned is the 57, never had a .41 of any kind. You should read Elmer's Keith's biography, HELL I WAS THERE. There is a story about taking a pair of 4" S&W .41 mags to Alaska, when the .41 Mag was brand new. |

You should read Elmer's Keith's biography, HELL I WAS THERE. There is a story about taking a pair of 4" S&W .41 mags to Alaska, when the .41 Mag was brand new. Regarding the sensible assortment, I do figure I've got just about every base covered although a nice 4" 581 and perhaps a nice 4" 27 would really round things out. I went to a wake today for a well-liked Lt. from a larger department south of my town who worked at my department from 79-82. I wore light blues and the 65 as sort of an homage to his service to the community. I didn't put my Glock 22, mags and pouch back on my duty belt when I got home so I'm rolling old-school tonight with the 65, two speed-loaders and an HKS black basketweave speed-loader pouch. After making sure my reloading speed was up to snuff I ran it 50/50 on our county's qualification course this past fall. It's odd carrying almost the same number of rounds total as is usually in just one magazine but I figure cops carried revolvers and speed-loaders for many decades and did just fine. The book sounds like it'd be a very interesting read also. Thanks for the comments, Scott |

Scotter you need a M58 to carry on duty! Now there was gun! Believe me, it's on the list but have you seen what they're bringing these days? I'd say a pre-68 58 with correct grips is my grail gun but I don't have the "grail" funds for one at this time. Thanks for looking and commenting, Scott |
