Don't change anything if you like it!! Just go shoot it and enjoy it. The more you shoot it.. clean it.. the more you get into the 1911 world, the more you will learn. Its very easy to get lost in the aftermarket world for the 1911, and many well meaning folks take a gun that works, and "fix" it with parts until it no longer works. |

I should have taken a pic of the target before I dumped the additional 3 mags on paper. At 10 yards the first 2 mags were all X and 9 ring. But then I started shooting a bit faster and pushed back to 20 yards and they spread out.
I plan to shoot it off the bench at my normal range (with sand bags, no ransom rest or anything) at 25 yards and see what it will do. |

I know how you feel. I had a bunch of Glocks and then got a good deal on my first 1911 and I was hooked too.

I need to buy a couple additional mags now. I've been stocking up on Wilson Combat ETM magazines. They're not cheap, but good magazines will last you a lifetime and work in ALL of your 1911's. |

I was looking at the McCormick Power Mags. They are a bit cheaper and from what little I have read seem to be ranked very close to the Wilson mags. |

I found some Metalform mags for a good price, reading up on them seems that they are the supplier for Colt mags. May get a couple just for range use.
Looking at holsters too, have a Blackhawk level 2 back ordered from the shop I got the pistol from. I don't really plan to conceal the 1911, my Ruger SR40C fits that role, but may get a Crossbreed or something similar too just in case I want to conceal this. |

I have a Para P12 and am very happy with it. The only thing I would like to change on mine are the plastic grips. I saw a video on a 1911 forum on how they converted VZ operator grips for the P14 to fit the P12. I'm doing the same thing now to fit them on my P13 but they will be a little short because of the hole sitting half way over the end of the pistols grip |

Seconding the Wilson Combats. They are an investment. Got five, now. Getting more, you better believe it. |
