I figured I would be safe posting this here....Three weeks ago I traded my Kimber for a LNIB Gen 3  G21 with lasermax guide rod and night sights. Finally took it to the range this past week. Needless to say I am very very pleased. The gun is just as accurate as the Kimber was, but the trigger could be lightened some. What is the best method to do this?  Want to get it closer to three or four pounds. Also, whats the deal with slide release? Kinda hard to get to, whats the best way to fix that? Thanks guys!

Congrats on a fine pistol.

To instantly reduce your trigger pull, you can install a Glock factory 4.5# connector, formerly known as the 3.5# connector P/N SP00721
If you're somewhat mechanically inclined and want to make your trigger smoother, you can do a search for .25 trigger job which will yield a smoother trigger pull as seen Here

The slide release (proper nomenclature: Slide Stop) can be changed to a factory extended part. P/N GLO-7496, used on the G34 & G35 will work, a better choice would be p/n GLO-1034 which is standard on the 45 GAP models which is what I believe is what Glock suggests.

Of course there are always aftermarket parts for the above mentioned mods but I personally prefer to keep it all stock.

Everything I considered saying was said in the first reply.

Extended slide stop and a swap out trigger connector.  You'll be good to go.  Easy to install; you can do it yourself.  $30 in parts, probably.

Thank you sirs! Are the trigger connectors not model specific?

Nope.  As far as I know, they should all be the same.  In fact, I'm pretty sure that all the internals in the lower receiver are standard across the Glock platform (except the magazine, obviously).

Congratulations on the new piece! The Glock 21 is my favorite gun I own and is my primary IDPA gun and my part-time CC handgun. If I may, I'd really suggest giving the stock trigger an honest chance. While the 1911's single-action trigger is fantastic the Glock trigger is very good, too. It has a consistent pull and learning it doesn't take much time. I think if my Glock's trigger was much lighter I'd run the risk of shooting faster than the trigger! Either way, it is your gun and those lightened triggers can make a Glock rock! Good luck and post up a pic or to when you get a chance!

Congrats on your new GLOCK.

I make 3 changes to my GLOCKs when I get them, sounds like you could benefit from them aswell. They are:::

4.5# connector(previously called 3.5) OEM

Extended slide stop lever..OEM

Extended mag release...OEM

Those 3 changes make a GLOCK pistol complete to me. Night sights are a given so I don't put them on my list.

Just personnal preferance.

This gun really isn't any harder to conceal than a 1911. Just got my holster yesterday. So pleased.
