Picked up a H&K USP .40 today, needed a gun to carry as a deputy jailer, figured this would work.

Well, I tried to go down to the range today and see what she can do, but about 100 people beat me there. Don't know what was going on. So I went out to my Dad's for a few minutes to fire it. The only thing we could find to shoot at was a 4"x8" piece of wood, but it worked. I was surprised, the gun fit my hand really good, and the recoil was very controllable for follow up shots. I fired off a full mag fairly quickly and kept them all on the board(this was at about 15 yards, maybe 12). Not bad.

I will agree with you there Bob.
I wouldn't trade my USP 45 for anything .

The USP 45 has my backing. I have a stainless one with no malfunctions in over 2500 rounds.

If for some reason I couldn't get another one, I wouldn't part with mine for any reason.

i would advise against getting a USPT as your first HK... you will get the disease "USP Hand" much quicker and it will cause you to buy more HK pistols way faster than you had previously imagined
