It's a P229 (obviously) in .40 S&W...  I think it's a limited edition... bought it new today from a gun dealer whos been trying to sell it to me for months...  I felt bad for it and decided to bring it home today.  It will be my new carry piece, provided it proves itself on the range... I posted these bad pics in the pic thread, but when I get some new pics tomorrow, i'll switch these out.

Let us know how it performs for you. My 229 has been 100% reliable with any type of ammo for over 10,000 rounds now. No better 40 on the planet!

You'll love it and it will shoot like a dream.

Once you fire a Sig you see what good gunmaking is. Everything on them is nice.

It should be a perfect carry gun and will prove itself on the range.

Very nice! I do love the Sig P series pistols, I preferr the 40 cal in the p229, but if you are so inclined, you can get a 357 sig barrel and swap calibers. Yep, it's that easy. Good luck with it.

You have a June 2005 Satin Nickel Reverse Two-Tone, Sig GOTM (Gun of the Month). It is not a normal production run item so good find. Happy Shooting!!

We had that same gun in quite some time back. Unlike the guy at the place where you went, we sold all of them we could get in! Here's an old pic of one next to a standard 2 tone P220. Wish I would have wiped the oil off before I took the pic!!!

Perfect timing on this thread, I couldn't find anything on the revese two tone model on the sig site.  I just purchased mine yesterday and came home to look up a bit on it.  I'm hoping the 575 price tag was a good deal, this is my first sig as well.  Mine appears to be a little different in the fact that it has a rail mount for a light or laser, other than that, it looks about the same.

You got that gun for $575? If you did, you got one helluva deal.

Now i just have to find time to run a few through this thing.  Yeah $575, figured it had to shoot alot better than the G-27 I traded in.  they gave me $380 for it so I saved quite a bit in sales tax towards the P229.  I cant put this thing down I just keep messing with it, very attractive piece thats for sure.  By the way that was a civlian price too, no LE discount.  I put a little scuff on it with the taketown lever, i had to take it apart and see just what all was involved for the first time i had to clean it.

WESKIX, I got mine for $699 + tax, I didn't care if it was a good deal cause i had never seen one in the reverse 2 tone before, and I just had to have it.  turns out the $745 after tax was a better deal than I could find online after buying it anyway.  The cheapest I found online was $750, and prices ranged all the way up to over $900, for the same handgun.  It obviously wasn't as good of a deal as the $575 you got yours for, but then again, I had nothing to trade, and I decided against the railed version anyway.  Yours is one nice handgun even with the rail, and as for the scuff, take a look under the decocker, I bet you'll find some scuff there too.  But don't worry, it adds character.  My take down lever hasn't scratched mine up yet, but I'm sure it will eventually.  I still haven't shot it yet because I jammed I thumb pretty bad playing football just before buying it...  can't wait to find out if it's going to be my new carry piece...

Yeah mine scuffed the first time I disassembled it, shucks.  Oh well, I knew it wouldn't stay perfect, i just thought it would take a box before i put any noticeable wear on it.  I woulda had to take it apart at some point anyway right, no harm no foul.  Now I feel like i should go out and buy another gun with the money i saved, I could grab a tiny little kel-tec i guess.
