Polish the rust off and keep it lubed. The wear inside looks like it is from the Schwartz safety. Is the wear abnormal or of any concern? I emailed Kimber 5-6 days ago in regard to the worn safety finish asking what it would cost to refinish it or if they could recommend a product for me to do it myself and they responded the very next day saying they would just send me a new one for free. Got it today. Super fast resolution. I'm impressed. http://www.lolzilla.net/images/99011528428811138551.jpg http://www.lolzilla.net/images/04688675914708283977.jpg http://www.lolzilla.net/images/34290334399637631200.jpg Kimber sent you a new safety, with the expectation that you would just drop it in? Did you fit it to your sear, or even perform the "click test" on it?

They sure did. I'll look into this click test when I get back home later in the week. I haven't fired it. |
