I am interested in buying a 1851 or 1871 Navy conversion from Uberti, Taylor's or Cimmaron. I don't have any experience with these type of firearms and would like some input from people who do. Who makes the best one? How much of a difference is there between the 1851's bead sight and the 1871's blade sight? I like the looks of the brass trigger guard, but I am concerned about durability, should I be? Should I get .45 Colt or .38 special? This would be used primarily for target practice, but I may think about getting into cowboy action shooting. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Cimmaron make a hell of a navy, and their affordable. I believe that was the main revolver used in The good The Bad and the Ugly. Great movie good revolver.
