Need a cheap .357 5 or 6 shot revolver as a bedside (in a Gun Vault) piece, maybe rarely as a concealed carry. I have a Ruger SP101 with a 3inch barrel and like it, but would like to spend less. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Taurus USA- Some people like to shit on them. I LOVE EM! I have 2 taurus revolvers, a model 94 and a model 44... both function flawlessly. They look like a Smith, have a fairly smooth action, and most have a New in box tag under $400. As some food for thought, here is the next one I'm considering getting: http://www.taurususa.com/imagesMain/H_651B2.jpg Model 651 (.357, 5 shot) Double/Single action-- $383 -OR---> http://www.taurususa.com/imagesMain/H_650B2.jpg Model 650 (.357, 5 shot) Double Action Only-- $383 -OR, If I'm really in for some debt---> http://www.springfield-armory.com/images/pistols/PW9142LLarge.jpg Springfield Armory 4" champion GI .45 automatic hough Taurus USA web site I also have a GP-100 from Ruger. SWEET GUN. For home defense I'ed say it's a toss up. -Teflon |

Dammit, Forgot my all time favorite- If you don't mind buying something used. That doesn't mean it's a piece-o-crap, that just means you gotta take a closer look at it. http://world.guns.ru/handguns/colt_detective_spl_1.jpg Colt Detective Special (.38 Special, 6 shot) $350 (+/- 50) Depending on condition/features nice little gun, damn shame Colt got out of the defensive revolver market...Teflon |
