I have a 7 1/2" Ruger Super Redhawk. I really like it, shoot it well, and have killed lots of deer with it.
Only problem is, It's so huge I only drag it out during deer season.
I am considering selling it and getting a more compact .44 suitable for carry AND Bambi busting!
What do you guys suggest along those lines?

I know some of you will suggest keeping the SRH and getting another .44 for carry. I only want one though.

Oh, and keep your eyes on the EE in case you are interested in a nice SRH!

S&W 629 Classic, 5". That is a great handling and well balanced weapon. Is there a minimum barrel length in your state to hunt?

No minimum barrel length.
Yes, I'm pondering a 4-5 inch 629 with a partial shroud. That might be the way I go.

If you like the Revolver cut the barrel back.

I have 5 Taurus Trackers...and love them all. Zero issues and hundreds of rounds. You can find a Tracker or Raging Bull series with a 4 inch barrel and ported for a tad over $400 NIB. One of the most comfortable 44's I've shot.

Dan Wesson.  If you can find one.  Then you can get 2 barrels. an 8" for Bambi blasting and a 4" for carry.  The frame is lighter than a SRH but still beefier than the Smith 29, especially in the topstrap.

That is good advice. Dan Wessons are also very accurate but unfortunately a little harder to find.
