I am looking for an OWB leather holster for my BHP. I am looking for on that has a thumbstrap that will snap over the pistol with the hammer back. What are your recommendations?

I have a galco rig that is for a 1911 that does just that.  I'll have to look to see what it's called.

F.L.E.X. or FLETCH

I have a FLETCH for a 1911 and it's fine but I have learned that the thumb strap is not needed with a decent fitting holster and is a negative when trying to access your pistol.  I really like Milt Sparks designs for their combination of utility and style.  I have a 55BN on order.

I have used both the Galco paddle holster as well as their thumb break holster and they both work well with the Hi Power.

In some situations (very active, etc) a thumb break holster is nice to have - it ensures the pistol is going to stay put.  That is especially true with the Hi Power given that many makers use the same blocks to form the holsters that they use for the slightly wider 1911.

The Galco thumb break holster is nice in that it has adjustment screws that allow you to snug it up for a Hi Power, or loosen it slightly for a 1911, but it is about a 1/4" wider than the paddle holster.
