I have a Mark IV Combat Commander that is considerably work. rattles when shook, and holds about 6 inches at 25 yards.

What do I need to do with this weapon to get it back into shape? Springs? Barrel?

Where to find the parts?

Finding parts can come from the usual suspects: Brownells, Midway, Denny's, Cylinder & Slide, Wilson Combat, etc. etc.

As for groups being poor, that may be a case of a too loose barrel bushing. Or it could be it's never been properly fitted & has gotten worse.

The best thing to do is have a gunsmith look at it & then suggest what your options are & then you can make an informed decision.

Hope this helps.

you can get everything you need at www.brownells.com

If you don't have a LOT of patients and a knack for mechanics you'd be better off taking/sending the gun off to a smith for the work.

Depending on what you want to end up with, you could easily spend a small fortune.
Look for pitting or other obvious problems in the barrel.
A little rattle, when empty, up to a point I would consider normal, frame to slide.
Not knowing what ammo you used at 25 yards, I trust you tried a few types in it just to verify accuracy, and maybe even let someone else try it.
You didn't say a word about reliability, which to me, is more important that a sloppy group at 25 yards.
Not knowing the history of your Commander or what was done to it, it may not need that much at all.
If you are usure what to look for, get a gunsmith to look it over, don't just swap parts.
It may save you money in the long run.
