I need some help about Glocks.
Just a little background. I have 2. One is a Glock 21 and the other is a Glock 30SF. An acquaintance and I are having a bit of a disagreement. He says he has a Glock chambered for 44 Magnum. In an effort to disprove this, I went to Glock's website and clicked on the "Models" tab and called up all the calibers they have handguns chambered for, and what the model numbers are. Nowhere was there a mention of any model chambered in 44 Magnum. His response was "It was made back in 2006. (I think that was the year) Now I know that Glock has two different frame "sizes." One is for the 9mm, 40 S&W, and 357Sig. The other is for the 10mm and the 45ACP. I took a 357 Magnum cartridge and held it up to the magwell of my Glock 21. It was longer than the hole in the grip where the mag goes into. If a 357 Magnum can't fit, a 44 Magnum sure as heck can't fit, at least as far as I can tell. (Or can it?) So here is my question: Was there EVER a Glock chambered in 44 Magnum? Thanks in advance for any help. |
| Your friend is blowing smoke. You can get an aftermarket barrel to shoot several other cartridges, 9x25 Dillon, .40 Super, 400 Corbon, you can even get an upper to convert to .50 GI. But if the cartridge won't fit in the magwell there's no way to convert to that cartridge. |

HA,...........He made you look it up. Actually didn't. I knew they didn't make it, but with some people the only way you can get anywhere is to show them it isn't the way they say. He said he had it out in the truck, but he left class before I was done with the experiment we were working on, so I never got to see it. I intend to see it to prove him wrong. I also asked what model # it was, but all he said was "It was made in 2006", or whatever year it was that he said. He was also talking nonsense about the liability exemptions for businesses who post "no concealed weapons" here in WI. I know that just about the only people who make a 44 Magnum semi-auto is Desert Eagle. Their is also the 44 AutoMag, but everyother handgun that I'm aware of that is chambered for 44 Magnum is a revolver. |
