Alright, so I'm getting moving on CCW permits and the like. But before I get any actual pen to paper preparations done, I figure I need to get all the materials for carrying concealed together. I've got a full sized 1911 for a carry piece (it also happens to be the only piece at the moment, so carrying a different gun isnt an option) I've got a class lined up and all that jazz. The problem that I'm having though is trying to find a holster that works. The part that's giving me trouble is that I'm 5'11" and weigh in at 135 # soaking wet. I figure that an IWB worn at 4 o clock is probably the best bet. As far as make/model goes I was looking at a Milt Sparks versa max 2.

What are the recommendations of the hivemind? (besides putting on some weight, i'm working on that)

I am 5'11 145 and just started carrying my 4" 1911.  I am using a TT gunleather at 4:30 (nearly to 5) I found that I have to keep it pretty far back to keep it from printing really bad.  I also try to wear a second 'over shirt' since it is cool enough now...
