The .500 S&W produced by Taurus are few and far between these days and appear to be discontinued in their product line. I have searched for one for some time and I'm thinking those that have them will hang on to them...but checks here on the E&E and gunbroker.com may find one.

I think you'll only get into the 8" model in the Taurus .500.

As an aside, I own every 6.5" Tracker model produced (not including any custom guns) by taurus, 6 weapons in all, and they are fine revolvers. Many will discount the maker based on earlier experiences but their manufacturing processes and customer service have improved temendously.

If I had to pick one taurus to buy and be confident it would work out of the box? It'd be a raging bull.

A relative's 44mag

It's a pussy cat to shoot, and has a great trigger for a stock wheelgun

I've got the Raging Bull in .454 Causull, it is a bear to shoot although much better than other .454's in terms of recoil but damn it is still stout. I can shoot 5-10 rounds and that is enough for me, it is more of a gimmick to bring with me to the range when I take non-shooters and let them try it.

I've got the Raging Bull in .480 Ruger and it is a dream to shoot. The 325gr. are a little punishing, but the 400gr. & 425 hard cast are a dream to shoot. It has been known to make people back away from the firing line........the loud button really works.

It's one of the features that comes free with the big bore magnum rounds... the "LOL WUT " looks from across the line.

I have to admit to wanting a .41 Mag Raging Bull for awhile.........but way too many "ban-able" guns top my list before I get to that one.

I've got an 8" .41 mag raging bull that I'm in the process of customizing, that shoots one handed w/VERY little muzzle rise... it's a friggin dream to shoot. I've owned 3 .41 Taurus' and 7 S&W .41's in the past and this is the best of them IMHO.
