And they have added the 8 inch barrel option to the new python, but still no 45 Colt option for the Anaconda.

I like the Viper. I'll take a 3" in blue, please.

I just wish they'd ditch the Canadian 4.25 inch and return to an American 4 inch version of all.

Hey look, No hole.

Yeah we really need a 45colt option though.

Colt made a couple 41 Magnum prototypes using the Python for testing, but never put the caliber into production. These guns made it out of the factory (with full documentation) when Colt put up their museum guns for auction 8,9? years ago. And IIRC the custom shop made four SAA's in 41 Magnum for Hank Williams jr., one of which Hank gave to a gun writer who wrote an article about them. The rest of the Colt 41 Magnums are conversions made by various gunsmiths, and at least some of these conversions look like they were factory made, but aren't.

.454 or go piss up a rope. Don't need to downgrade to .44 mag.

Well sounds like there isn’t much a chance in them producing a modern version then.

Very cool, but I agree with fxntime.  They should chamber the Kodiak in .454 Casull.

Casull would be the best of both worlds.
I want an Anaconda in 45 colt.
Those also go in Casulls.
Win win

Exactly. From mouse fart cowboy loads to hammer a grizzly bear.

My LGS has a Grizzly and a Viper and I handled both this week.  The Grizzly felt like a Python but a little fatter.  The Viper was nice and very much reminded me of my MkIII Trooper.  If I wasn't flush with revolvers (and just picked up a 3 inch Python) I probably would have sprung for the Grizzly.
