So going against the ARFCOM poll between TLE , Eclipse, XSE or MC Operator , I bought a Stainless TLE .

I put 300 rounds through it mostly my reloads (230 gr. 5.0gr Bullseye) some Winchester 230gr Ranger , and some American Eagle 230gr FMJ . I used the Factory mag , some Chip McCormick power mags, the Novak (Act-Mag) that came with my SW1911 , and a C-S marked magazine. I am happy to report that the gun runs flawlessly and shoots accurately . I am quite happy.

and all together now ....

The SW1911 FINALLY works ok after 4 trips to S&W.

Drama as follows :

Bought the gun at a gun show , stupid zip tie over the trigger so I did not notice how loose the trigger was. There was a ton of play up and down. The gun shot well, but it annoyed me so I sent it back to Smith (on their dime) .

Got the gun back with a new trigger (a black one instead of silver 3 hole it came with) , trigger was tighter, not perfect, but I could live with it. New issue , when a full magazine was in the gun , the trigger bar was contacted enough so the trigger would not break without a lot of force. Gun back to Smith to adjust the trigger stop . (trip 2)

Gun comes back, everything is hunky dory until :

Gun back third time ....

Get gun back again, same trigger issue as the first time they replaced it.

Gun send back a forth time ....

Now it works

I am going to have to get an MC Operator next though , really given my collection I think there is a niche to be filled with a railed 1911 .

After that an officer size

Nice.  I have the same gun.  Mine had to go back to Kimber for a slight tweaking, but now she shoots great.  Congrats on your TLE.

I am stuck on the Colt Bandwagon for right now.  3 of my last 4 1911 purchases have been Colt, but still Love my two Kimbers.

Nice Piece.  I liked my first Kimber so much that I picked up a TLE this weekend also.  I took advantage of the nice weather today and put 200 rounds through it without a hiccup.
