Has anyone tried the new Magpul extensions for the G21 yet? I am interested in them, but I am wondering about reliability. I think they are the same as the Kriss Super V mags, but I am not 100% sure.

I have a few of the complete mags (not just the extensions) and they appear to be well-made, but I haven't tried them out yet. I bought them with the MSAR MCS in mind, and also thinking that I might still buy a Mech-Tech carbine conversion for one of my G21s if the MCS is still a long time coming. (No interest in actually buying a KRISS, FWIW.) |

They aren't really new at all. They've been out since before the Kriss came to the US. Magpul teamed up with the Company that produces the Kriss for the extensions. Although I don't think their name is on it anywhere.
I don't have any myself, but They are supposed to be very well made and I've never heard anything but good things about them. |

Quoted:
Glock makes a whole mag for $25...Magpul makes Pmags for $14.00...but these are $27.95 for an extension. I'll be waiting until they get to $15. Good luck with that. These things have been out for atleast a year and a half now, and they havent moved in price. |

Quoted: ive read that they wouldnt...the 10mm mags are different or something... Yes . . . . . and no. The G20 mags are the same outside dimensions as the G21's, however, they differ as follows: * G20 mags have different feed lip dimensions to accommodate the smaller diameter 10mm cases * G20 mags have different hole pattern to indicate the greater rounds loaded because of the smaller diameter 10mm cases * G20 mag followers are different shaped to accommodate the smaller diameter 10mm cases Because the extensions don't impact any of the three items above, one should be able to add the extension to one's G20 mags with no issues as long as one uses their G20 follower. |
