What finish is that? On mine I abrasive blasted the slide and the glass beaded the slide. Just remove the black then the glass bead gives the stainless steel a nice satin finish. I am going to assume the other two posters did the same and that is the actual stainless steel of the shied naturally showing through. |

So you removed the Melonite coating and bubbed your gun, oh yea. https://www.google.com/search?q=micro+slik&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=KMC&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=X&ei=ue6aT_yxDIOi8QTh4d2mDw&ved=0CDEQBSgA&q=micro+slick&spell=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=8c7646f229469991&biw=1418&bih=765 The black coating is not the Melonite. The Melonite is a clear metal treatment that is actually in the metal. Plus all M&P pistols slides are manufactured out of Stainless Steel. Nothing Bubba about it. |
