There are 2 new Sigs coming out sometime in the next year (I hope) that have captured my interest. I read some about the new P224 a few months ago. I just saw Sig also has a new P938 coming. Both seem very interesting to me. I really want a subcompact 9mm made by Sig. I never liked the P239-just didnt feel right to me. I waited months for the P290 but once I played with it, i hate it. The size, fit and weight are all wrong to me for the number of rounds it carrys. Wish the 290 would have been smaller.
Does anybody have pictures or size specs for the P938 and P224 yet? And I did search but did not find anything solid. |

Where did you find this info about the 224? |

Where did you find this info about the 224? It's from the SigForum. I think it's scanned out of a LE catalog. |

It looks bigger than the Glock 26. If so it will most likely be another disappointment.
Why can't Sig make a gun that is as small or smaller than a G26 and hold the same number of rounds? This is what I want. Just like a small 9mm pocket gun would be nice. I want a Sig at or close to the Kahr "pocket 9s" in size and weight. The P290 left me highly disappointed. I was expecting so much more from Sig. |

Yeah, I'm with you on that. Make it the size of the g26 and price and then I'll consider it. |

The P250 subcompact was their Glock 26 competitor and it doesn't sell. The P224 is supposed to be a subcompact classic P-series. Classic P-series are all big guns by today's standards. You can't avoid it with their aluminum frames with replaceable grips. |

I can deal with the gun being a little wider but the same length and height––or smaller–– would be very very nice. EDIT––the P224 is about a half inch longer in length and height over the G26. |

Mine has had no problems so far..... http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac287/tankdrive/pistols/DSC02651.jpg http://i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac287/tankdrive/pistols/DSC02652.jpg I looked at the P290 and was disappointed. While on paper it looks very close in size to the Kahr PM9, in my hand and comparing them side by side, the Sig seems heavy and bigger. I also find the grip of the P290 funny feeling in my hand. I have looked at them several times and just do not like the 290. |
| Maybe Sig will get the P938 right. But sadly I think they will screw this one as well. If this gun is sized just a little bigger then the P238 as to handle the 9mm over the 380 then it will be a great little gun. Anybody want to bet that the P938 will be about the same size as the 1911 ulta carry model? |

I think you guys are missing the point on the 224... It's a metal gun, it maintains the lines of the classic P-series guns, of course it's larger and heavier than a Glock 26! What it is- is lighter and smaller than a 229. I hope that SIG gets these right, it's a cool looking gun. And hopefully the 938 works out too, the name makes my head hurt though... Pistols should start with 2. |

Until Sig decides to move into the striker fired polymer pistol market, you're not going to get an exact G26 sized gun from them. The 224's aren't meant to compete with Glock's. The 224 is meant for people who carry the 226/229 pistols, but want something smaller with identical controls. |

But I have a hard time going to a bigger gun then the G26 when I am trying to go smaller. If it was at least the same size as the G26 then I would switch without a second thought. I will just have to wait until it comes out and see how it feels/looks. Anybody have info on the P938 yet?? |
