Couple of questions:
There's no model name or number on it. What is it?
It came with a single action trigger is it a simple change back to D/A?
How do you do a detailed strip...remove the safety?

Well they have the Compact and the Carry, depends on the grip length(mag capacity too).  If its steel framed I believe you can swap out DA/SA and SA-only trigger groups, and the Poly frames are DA/SA only IIRC.  Should be able to download the owners manual on the EAA website.  Older models had a 'small frame' and 'large frame' pistols depending on caliber, newer models are all 'large frame' irregardless of chambering.   So you have to be careful what mags you get for the 9mm.  Models like the .45 and 10mm have always been large frame.  May want to check the date on the pistol and post a few pics.  They have made a hella lot of models over the years.

Detailed strip?
You are on the right track with removing the safety.

With the slide removed look at the sear area. Look closely and you'll see that the end of the sear return spring fits into a small notch in the safety pivot shaft. That locks the safety in the frame. Pull that up with a small tool and place it in the little cutout provided to hold it. Now the safety can be wiggled out and the fire control group will pop out as a unit. Putting it back is a bit tougher because you are working against spring pressure. Just make sure you have the fire control unit held down, fully seated in the frame before you try to insert the safety. IMPORTANT: don't forget to put the sear spring back in the safety pivot notch. If you don't, the slide will hit it and mangle the end... don't ask me how I know this.
