After quite a bit of reading, lurking and consideration I ordered and received an M-Tac for my Kimber 3" ultra covert. This weekend was my first "many hour" wearing of it out in public. It exceeded my expectations. The day was mid 80ish but humid. I have recently gotten my CHL, so I haven't carried much. But this thing is comfortable enough that I wasn't thinking about it all that much.
The other crap I was carrying in my pockets was bothering my more that this rig. I wanted the 1911 specifically because I thought it would conceal well. After putting this thing on, and an un-tucked tshirt I didn't feel any concern at all about printing. As a side note, I was deep in the heard of sheep. It seems lately I may not feel the need to carry at places I go, but somehow I end up traversing through places I do want to carry. So, before the CHL, I just felt I was un-prepared - not a good feeling. BTW, I've had no issues w/ the Kimber and I shoot it really well. The whole package is a win-win. Now I can move on and buy some other stuff. |
