I installed a TTI Grand Master kit in a buddies G34. Took 15 minutes, put it together and the reset worked but was almost non existent. It has a very mushy feel and no audible click. I spent 3 hours inspecting all the parts next to another G34 with the same parts. Can't for the life of me figure it out. The connector looks fine.

Anyone have this issue? Its a gen 4, could I have gotten a gen 3 connector by accident? Would that cause it? Also thinking maybe the connector foot angle is maybe not bent enough, but it looks fine next to another. Any ideas??

ETA: Everything else works fine, nice short take up and clean crisp break, it's just that super mushy reset.

Any chance you could post a picture of the inside of the frame?

Probably the Trigger Return Spring, pop in the factory spring and see how it feels. Also the connector will work with gen 3/ gen 4 models so there should be no issues there.

As it is right now and you have the slide off, if you push the part of the trigger bar forward that depresses the slide plunger, do you hear the audible click then?  If not, your connector and trigger bar are not mating up properly.

In the pictures the trigger bar is sticking up past the connector.  The audible click is when the connector slaps the side of the trigger bar on reset.

Everything works fine, except the connector snap is not as strong. Any one have issues with tolerances stacking up here? Could the angle of the connector foot be off maybe?

Reset spring is installed incorrect.  The hooks should be straigh up and down.  Yours is canted to the left.  Your hook is not in the trigger bar groove correctly.
Pics for refrence

May want to bend the connector out towards the right so the trigger bar doesn't slip past it like in your pictures.

After doing some research I think his might be it as well. I've done many a Glock trigger and it was never an issue, I didn't even know it could get out of line. I'll check when I get home.

IF that's not it, I'll try swapping connector and spring from another working G34 with same trigger kit. Hate swapping parts back and forth though, always second guess which is which! Need two bowls on the bench clearly marked for the parts.

OK got it figured. It was not the trigger spring. It was the connector itself. The L shape was not open enough. I sandwiched it between cardboard in the vice and used a large flat head screwdriver to bend it open right at the joint. Thanks for all the replies guys, and if anyone finds this thread, try putting the old connector in and see if that's the issue.

How hardened or tempered is the part and will the extra bending fatigue it?  I don't claim to be an expert, just curious.  I figured it was something similar since you stated the audible reset was weak.  Honestly, I'd buy a new conector.

Way to hard to bend by hand, took little force with that big driver, but enough I'm not too worried about it. That said I'll definitely be sending an email to Taran Tactical. I'll post their response here. FWIW they've been great in the past, not trying to discourage anyone from using their products which I've found to be great thus far.

Shouldn't be anything to worry about, there should be a note about making the adjustment in the instructions for most aftermarket connectors.

Op, I usually just put it into the trigger housing 180 from correct way and bend it whichever way it needs to go. If it's bent too far inward you get the problem you had, too far outward and the connector may drag on the slide.

For posterity here is the response from TTI.

They were slow to respond, emailed on 5/2 and they responded 5/9. After that response was quick (next day and then within the hour).

They first told me it was the trigger return spring out of its groove. I assured them it was the connector. They asked for pics and returned the ones below.

Aside from the long initial response, I was happy with their CS. I've dealt with them in the past too and was very happy then.
