| Thanks in advance for your time. I just picked up a bargain a Browning Belgium serial number 74c08052 with the browning case. Is this super collectible or can I shoot it.? If it needs to be a safe queen then so be it, but I really want to use it while hunting etc.. What is something like this worth? Thank you very much for your time. It looks to be in 95% condition and I grabbed it at an estate sale for $325 |
i think its worth at least $325.00 If it condition is 95%, then i think you did good. The 29th BB gives a value of ~ $500.00 for a HP in 95%. AFA keeping it a safe queen, its not pristine, so shoot it and have fun. im not sure about carrying it for "hunting" but its your toy. |
i understood that you wanted to carry it as a sidearm while out and about, but if you want to keep it in as good condition and keep shooting it, i would reconsider carrying it that way. if you take a spill, get wet or whatever, you could damage the gun. also, if it gets wet, you would have to make sure the moisture is out of the gun and the holster. also, im not sure which hand you shoot, but when i had a sidearm on my strong side, i would always lower the rifle butt after firing to hit the sidearm. but as i said, its your gun. |
| Thanks again. Your are correct, I would not carry it hunting. I have others that will fit the bill. I am just happy shooting it will not hurt the value. Value doesn't really matter to me because I intend on keeping forever, I just wanted to know what they go for. I can't wait to shoot it tomorrow!!!! |
