What kind of setup do you guys have on your night sighted pieces? I was thinking about green in the front and yellow in the back. But not ever looking down a pistol in the dark (with night sights,) I don't know if that's good or bad. Will the yellow ones be more pronounced and therefore should be in front? What about green in front and red in back? Do they even make red?

Green is the brightest color available... the chemical they make it out of (cant spell it to save my life) glows most brightly in the green spectrum...

Green in front and yellow in the rear is good... that way in dim light situations you dont have to wonder which green dot is the front sight...

I have/had green/green, green/yellow, and green/red.  I prefer green/red.

I truly belive it's worth the extra cash to get something other than green in the rear.  It pretty much guarantees you'll line up the dots RFR and never FRR or RRF.  Plus, it's kinda cool.

One caveat, the "not green" lamps tend to not last as long as their green counterparts.

I use green/green and also had green/redish orange...

Anyhow, I stick with the green trijicons as Hal9k stated- the redish front dimmed out.  (These were installed on a different Glock than my carry Glock w/green Trijicons)  I replaced the NS on the other Glock back to the standard and just keep the factory on my plinker and the Trijicon NS on my carry.  YMMV.

If memory serves, trijicon suggested green to be brightest with yellow in second.    Some will say tritium in the rear sight is not needed.
Since it appears that no one here has tried the tru-glo sight, I think I'll be the guinea pig and try their combo tritium/fiber optic front sight if things match up.

Let me know how it works... I am seriously interested as well.

Bear,  I'll let you know.  Hope it fits.

Single green in front, single green in rear.

I have to admit, though, that there’s a lot to be said for no tritium at all in the rear.

Talked with tru glo today and got a slightly different answer.  Will not have any dovetailed front sights until late fall-next year.  Although their web site looks like they have sights for Kimber, it appears to be untrue.

I got yellow rear with green front and like it alot. Green really stands out and over powers the yellow. Mine were made somewhere here in PA not trijicon or mepro. I think they're ameriglo.
