I bought a SA operator last week, I LOVED it, great gun....It was my lap gun, stayed with me like a small dog while I was watching tv.

Now that I have a nighthawk the SA feels like such a POS.

I have one I bought used from a fellow member here..it is my daily carry around the ranch.
worked great from day one, about 500 rds thru it with out a FTF in any form..
Knocked down a Yote at 40 yds last week..

very well built, while I dont care for the "paint" on a $2500.00 gun, it holds up well, far better than
my Kimber's finish on my city carry, Ultra Tactical.

My GRP has been great. I've had it for like 3yrs or so and never a single issue. Id carry it any day and have complete faith in it going bang.

SA Operator owner!lol

The operator's a great gun, I like mine.....but its no nighthawk.

It's compairable to the moment I found quality knives. For years I loved the $50 range knives, kershaw and even the occasional spyderco knife. THEN, I found benchmade knives! I've not been able to carry a kershaw since I bought my first 806d2 years ago. The extra $150 is well worth it imho.

Basically I'm ruined now, nothing less than a ed brown, wilson, or nighthawk will do.

I have 2 Nighthawks, my Talon II bobtail since November of 06 and my Vickers since april 08, both are wonderful 1911's. I rank them right up there with my Harley Davidsons

I with ya. I have a Ed Brown Kobra Carry, and a Wilson CQB with a rail.
