Mine is very nice, but not $2,300.00 nice, as I was disappointed to learn.  I'd sooner get another Yo-Bo 1* Enhanced...

Given what you are trading, I'd say you'd be trading up - for certain...

Own a Talon. I had some issues with it, after two trips back it works like a charm.
I bought it because I wanted an all-out custom 1911.
At 2K rounds now, runs great and real pleasure to shoot.

Nighthawks just don't do it for me, but if they turn you on, go for it.  The chances are very good you'll be happy with it.

Well just got back from my local gun shop He wanted 2300.00 or my kimber tac 2 (he was going to give me 800.00 for it 99%)  plus my bushy pistol (400.00 for it 95%) and 800.00 bucks Really ripped up kimber basic calling it a peice of sh%#....................... It shoots like a champ no hicups......................... Still thinking about it................doesn't sound worth it............................

Yeah, screw him... there's no point taking a 50% loss on the Bushy pistol; sounds like an OK price for your Kimber though.

Keep the 2.  Wait untill later for a custom 1911 type.

I'd say sell the Bushy pistol, buy a Springfield Mil-Spec or similar, then have it built/modified into what you want, either DIY or send it to a smith.

+1 (Wilson Combat's my poison)

If it's carry and you feel 100% confident it's worth every penny.

Otherwise, will you enjoy it that much? that'll answer it for you.

If you're "on the fence" about NH read this

Some pretty good endorsements.

Ken,
What is it you don't like about them?  Just curious since you can get them just about any way you want.  I know my Talon is a Talon in name only, they spec'd it exactly how I wanted it.

Nothing major, just styling.  I've handled a few and they are nice but I just don't care for them.  I really don't like their slide etchings, grips, paint, Kimber-esque slide serrations etc.  They look like Wilsons to me, which don't really appeal to me either.

To be frank your gun is the only Nighthawk I've seen that I actually like.  If I were to get one it would have to not resemble most Nighthawks, so I might as well deal with anyone.
