it is chambered for a handgun cartridge!  I just finished the M3 conversion of my USC carbine yesterday. I added a stock photo of the USC so you can see "before and after."

Thanks! Actually, I was thinking about making it so with a UMP lower, but decided to just make it an SBR (short-barreled rifle) using a UMP 8" barrel. The NFA paperwork (Form 1) is in the works now. When I can do the barrel swap, it will look similar to the one below.   |
| Well, they're still making and importing the UMP submachine gun so some parts are available. Also, there are a couple of outfits making USC/UMP kits, namely Top Notch Accessories and Homeland Defense and Police Supply. You can pick up a nice, used USC for $1400-$1600 or so. |
