My BHP had several FTE issues yesterday, and I was hoping someone here could help me resolve the problem. I was shooting cheep blazer 115gr aluminun case and had FTE. One was so tight in the breech it took a good pull with pliers to get it out. Shot a couple of clips of blazer brass 115gr and still was having FTE. The following round would jam the slide, when I pulled the mag out slide would rack forward and sometimes re-chamber the spent sheal or jam in sideways. Any suggestions on what to do. Thanks

FTE= failure to extract(for those who don't allready know)

Have you replaced any of the spring recently in your BHP?  Also, have you check the guide rod for cracks?  I had a crazy notion a while back to replace the trigger with a C&S wide one.  As I was ordering, I noticed that they offer a "reduced" power spring kit.  I purchased both thinking that I could improve the trigger by doing so.  I found out later (the folks at Novak's gently informed me after charging my credit card for repairs) that a reduced power recoil spring/ main spring affect the function of the BHP.  The lower power spring affect the ability of the BHP to recoil properly to the point that I had a bund of FTF and finally (within a magazine) a broken guide rod end.  I was using factory ammo NOT reload ammo for what it's worth.
