bought the Fed. Champion .45 Auto FMJ's and had a FTFeed today... got the gun unjammed and immediately knew why. Anyone seen this before?
Left is the cartridge in question... none of the other ammo from the same lot are weird.

That's quite the projectile––is that a 260gr? More?
Or is the ogive smushed?

It was in the box of 230grains. The diameter is bigger too. in the normal case you can see a slight taper from midway of the cartridge to the bullet the franken bullet has no taper at all. i wish i had tools to measure it. i gotta dig out my micrometer.

Call or write Federal about it and send a picture. They might want you to send it to them and they might even give you a free box of ammo for your troubles.
