Guys, I realize different RMR cuts are different depths but I'm hoping someone can give me some suggestion here.
I have a GLOCK 19 Gen5 FS that Jagerwerks cut for an RMR RM-06 HRS and I've got the Trijicon raised silence height sights. I suppose they sit how they should but I'd like to find something just a little lower but still have front and rear night sights. Wondering if something from AmeriGlo might fit work out a little better. Can anyone confirm that AmeriGlo's 3XL sights are roughly the same at the Trijicons? Wondering about making 2XL's? |

The answers you seek. Personally I avoid tritium or fiber optic sights on RMR'd handguns. YMMV, but one session of low-light training was enough to convince me that night sights in general are a bad idea for a variety of reasons. Dawson makes a variety of height of blacked out steel sights and for a Jagerwerks cut, somewhere between a .270 and .305 Dawson rear will give you the lowest possible cowitness. For those of you who are using the mos models, are you using the factory and trijicon screws, or are you using aftermarket screws?
I saw some people complaining about the quality of the oem screws and recommending battle werx or other high quality screws. I don’t even know how many round my Roland has on it anymore. North of 7k though. Been through classes, regularly carried in rain, sleet, and snow. Battery was changed at 2.5 years on my RMR, figured it was time. Wish it were easier to clean the crevices of the RMR but oh well. My personal belief? This is the pinnacle of glock. My build is nearly part for part as prescribed by Pressburg. I carry a G17.5 for a paycheck 40+ hours a week, I’ve owned another Gen 4 19 which was bought when gen 4 first rolled out. Owned a 34/Acro combo for a while too. I’ve got more rounds through a glock than I can count. They’re all wholly unimpressive compared to the RS. It’s probably the only glock that will keep a permanent place in my stable. Next up is a 2020 Staccato P. I’ll let you know how that shakes up in a few months. |

I sold a 34/Acro combo to a good buddy who had been wanting to get into the dot game and just sold an FN509T which absolutely does not work with my large hands to another buddy. So Poof, I now have staccato money. I’ve always fought smaller guns and my hands just don’t like the ergonomics. So I’m keeping two personal glocks and my work g17 and consolidating into a few high end guns that will hopefully turn into heirlooms for my future demonic offspring. |

not really a roland but grabbed the kkm black nitride barrel and comp recently. Have shit ton of rocksett laying around. Use on the set screws or red loctite? Also chopped the front of 6354do off, works perfect. Attached File Attached File |

Eta - either threadlocker should be fine, I believe its more important not overtorquing your set screws. I use blue FWIW but break the gun down every thousand or so. |
