Can't wait!

I ordered a Talon 5" with a bunch of "custom" features just for me.

Notables:
Plain slide (only cocking serrations)
Slim grips
Shortened slide stop and beveled frame
Diamond black finish
custom serial number
script on frame (my name)
solid trigger
no mag well
ambi safety

A mere 6 months is all I have to wait

Congrats, and I'm jeolous. I think the Nighthawk will be my next one also. Not sure which though, but a 10mm is sounding real good so far. Pics when it arrives please.

Yeah, that Black Diamond finish adds months to an order.

My Talon took a little over 6 weeks and it has optional extras.

But no DB finish.

Congrats though, they're nice.

You will not regret it.  It sounds very similar to mine...

I've "only" got 4 right now .  3 fullsize - Wilson, Kimber Warrior, Colt Series 70 repro and 1 commander - Colt lightweight.

I want to turn my Wilson back into a carry gun for me -- cause there's nothing else I shoot like it.  But since it is my nicest gun by far it was kind of holding me back.  So my line of thought was that I'll get a second high-end 1911 so that I have a "spare" and can thus feel free to carry my Wilson knowing that I've always got a backup .

I was going to go with Wilson again, but everyone that built my gun left for Nighthawk... so I figured I'd give Nighthawk a try .

Well that makes complete sense.  Besides the fact that your wilson is probably the best out of those for self defense anyways.  Maybe.  I don't know.  But sometimes we have to play these mental gymnastics to get along.  But now that I have a 1911 I like, I wouldn't mind having a higher end one too.

Congrats WilsonCQB1911.

I'm a Talon owner myself, love it.
Don't forget to post pics & range report when you get it.
